It has been a rollercoaster ride the last few weeks in Thomas land, and it’s made me think a lot about the last year, and what has hapened. So here is a round up to keep you in the loop!!
The biggest news is the safe arrival of my latest apprentice Bobby Thomas Bower, born on 13th November! He may only be a few weeks old but he is already commanding in the kitchen! You can see photos of him if that’s your thing on my instagram feed here. He is settling in well with his big Bro and Mummy in the Bower nest!
This year also brought big changes to how we work at Thomas the Caterer as we moved into our bespoke catering unit Thomas Towers! This means we can do even bigger events have more variety of what we can produce for you at those georgous weddings we cater for in turn bring an even better product to you.
We have been making big waves in the wedding industry after we were nominated and shortlisted for the Wedding Industry Awards 2015. Sadly we didn’t win but to be nominated is massive for us and just pushes us to make even more amazing weddings for our customers for the coming 2015 wedding season.
This year we have welcomed three new staff to the Thomas the caterer team, Kate our newest front of house supervisor, Alistair who has jetted off to Meribel for a ski season but will be back next summer to be our Head chef! and Bev our Kitchen porter who makes sure the hygeine of everything is tip top! I am so proud of the team here at TTC they work brilliantly together making sure every wedding goes off without a hitch!
The definitive guide to wedding food that’s loved by everyone!
It is finally happening!!! I have pressed go on the big red button at the printers and you should expect to see it on Amazon in the new year (they don’t make it easy over at amazon HQ) but fear not you can get your copy signed if you like from me! £18 including post and packaging.
We know how you love a little bit of decadence here at Thomas Towers so we have teamed up with Mambo Mobile bars for a match made in heaven (well England and Italy) Mambo and Thomas the Caterer already have bookings for next year to work together at a few weddings where we are catering and we can’t wait to taste those (virgin) Mojitos again!
We are soo shabby chic darling!
Due to popular demand we have now collected over 100 pieces of vintage china which can be rented from us or used with your wedding catering Afternoon Tea! Nothing quite matches but it’s all soo pretty!
The launch of Thomas TV!
It hasn’t gone unnoticed! With two episodes already out on the internet and more in production (it’s not as easy and old Jamie makes it look) but if you like to salivate and get cooking you can have a goosy gander here
Wow and that’s just the big stuff! Major plans for next year including something really big but I will leave that for another catch up!
Merry Christmas to you all
Happy New Year from all of us at Thomas the Caterer
